About Abdulahi Consulting Is an agile development and humanitarian consulting firm based in Dublin. We provide technical and professional consultancy services to a wide range of humanitarian and development actors working in the global South through our five thematic areas. These are, Education and youth, Durable solutions, Research and MERL services, Programme Management and Proposal writing and Training and capacity building.
One strategic focus area for us is the support of clients in putting together multi-year strategic plans ensuring they remain relevant and achieve their objectives. We therefore would like to source roster members who have the required competencies in strategic planning, development and resourcing.
2.0 Role summary
As a strategic development consultant, you will be asked to support clients in developing their strategic plans and aligned their strategic with their mission, vision and goals. These clients maybe local charities, national organisation or international NGOs who seek this service. Its important that you have demonstrated experience in this space and have senior leadership role in an NGOs or in the private sector with the capacity to lead the development process of a comprehensive strategy.
Abdulahi Consulting will retain your CV in the database and match your skills and expertise to the calls or projects secured to ensure timely delivery, in this case you will be asked about your availability to take on this project and lead the successful implementation of the project. As such you will not be an employee of Abdulahi Consulting, neither will be remunerated when not on assignment. If selected, You will be required to commit to atleast 2 years in our roster
3.0 Person Profile
- Experience of Working in Humanitarian contexts as a consultant or senior manager with team management experience
- Demonstrable experience in strategy development with NGOs, CSOs, UN and /or the private sector. It helps if you share relevant examples.
- Leadership skills and senior leadership roles.
- English language competency, French , Spanish and Arabic language competencies are strong assets.
- Availability and willingness to travel often in challenging contexts and in short notice.
- Experience of one of our thematic areas. other areas of expertise are also welcome.
